This painting was inspired by a photograph I took while in Zimbabwe, Africa on a missions trip in 1985.  Victoria Falls is called "The Smoke that Thunders" by the indigenous people because the mist that rises high into the air can be seen for miles.  The Mist creates a perpetual rainbow creating a mystical atmosphere.
